I am going to talk about Sunday Shopping. I’ll be talking about the advantages and disadvantages and how it affects the small store.
People like Sunday shopping because they don’t have to do everything on Saturday. I also think a lot of companies like it because it brings in money. Many employees love it because it means extra money for them. It also makes Sunday not boring because you can get out and do something. It also keeps children and teens from getting out of trouble. It also can be a good thing for parents because they can send their kids there. So they can get some work done at the house and have their own peace and quiet. It is also good for restaurants because many people will go eat after they shop. If you had a hockey team you could make events where the hockey players go to the mall and sign autograph.
It does affect mini strips malls cause no one like to walk from store to store they like store that are all together in one place. It sometimes gets teens in trouble cause some teens steal and then they get in trouble. There is also decrease in people going to church on Sunday. Sunday were made for people go to church and prays Jesus. In North America people going to church has decrease 74% and only increase 26% in all of North America. Today most people think they have better things to do so church is declined and eventually people will stop going period. I wonder what people think about God because he only asked us to go to church once in 7 days. That on Sunday is when everybody is suppose to go to church. Strip malls do not get business more then malls because there not all in one. Strip malls stores are horrible because you have to walk out of a store to get to the other store. People do not like that because it gets cold outside in the winter and people like staying warm. People prefer the mall over a strip mall because if they get hungry in the mall they can just go eat in the mall you can’t do that in a strip mall.
I think Sunday shopping is good but it bad as well because some strip malls loose business and churches lose people to go to church. So it is not good for both malls or churches. I also think that some city do not have much in the city to do so why not open on Sunday. It is up to the parents to decide where they want there kids to be doing. I also think it is a shame that going to church is fading away from the new generation but new thing are bought to us. The new generation is born that also mean new thing so we need to accept that and be aware of it.
